While living in Charleston, I was inspired by the beautiful bridge I drove over at least twice
a day. My aim was to produce a physical piece that could be multifunctional, and that would
represent the city I called home in a fun, illustrative way. I chose skateboard deck as a medium
because it could be presented on the wall as an art piece, or used like an actual skateboard.

I started out with four original color combinations, and began selling them at local art shows
and on Facebook Market. The pieces became more popular than I anticipated and I sold out
the original run of 20 decks. I chose to add to the line up of color combos and began taking
custom commissions. After some continued popularity, I was able to get my product into
a retail establishment.
